Airpeace Airlines flies to Anambra and opens its online portal for passengers to book flights to the brand-new Airport.

Flights to Anambra from Lagos and Abuja will commence on Tuesday, 7 December 2021.

The airline operates a single flight each day from the two airports to the Anambra airport.

The Lagos flight leaves by 12.00 noon while Abuja flight is scheduled for take-off by 3.10 p.m.

The airline has already opened its online portal for passengers wishing to travel from the two take off points.

One-way economy class ticket to Anambra sells for between N55,000 and N60,000 when available on the portal.

This is because, as in other eastern airport routes, the airline advertises flight tickets for most days as “sold out.”

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) last week cleared planes to land at the brand-new Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport.

The airport is a signature project of Gov. Willie Obiano who is handing over power to a new Governor in less than three months.

NCAA directed that only aircraft that conform to specifications of a Bombadier Dash 8 400 shall land at the airport.

In addition, such aircraft must operate between “sunrise and sunset” each day.

Experts told Enugu Metro that this can be interpreted to mean that the State Government has yet to install instrument landing systems (ILS)

In addition to Airpeace, United Nigeria Airlines and Ibom Air have both indicated interest to offer flight services to the airport.

None of them have however scheduled flights to Anambra as at today, 5 December 2021.
