The Nigerian Army confirms arrest of Nollywood Actor, Chiwetalu Agu, at Onitsha for soliciting support for Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB).

An eye witness captured the arrest and brutalisation of the popular actor at Upper Iweka, Onitsha, as he was trying to drive away with his bus.

Agu wore the long gown with a bold inscription of the defunct Biafran flag. He has been flaunting the dress of late in the media to signal his sympathy for IPOB.

Consequently, he was dragged out of the bus and manhandled by two soldiers who had earlier accosted him.

The soldiers thereafter shot into the air to scare off a crowd that gathered to express outrage at the assault.
