Chiwetalu Agu aftet his release today

Army authorities in Enugu City this afternoon releases popular Nollywood actor, Chiwetelu Agu from detention after his arrest at Onitsha.

He was released to the Executives of the Actors Guild who have made desperate attempts since yesterday to secure his freedom.

The exchange took place today at the Army’s 82 Division in Enugu City.

The actor and comedian was arrested by military personnel at Upper Iweka Bus Station, Onitsha.

His clothes bearing the defunct Biafra insignia attracted the attention of an army patrol.

Army high command attempted to justify the arrest by accusing the thespian of “incitement.”

He was also accused of drumming up support for the proscribed Indigenous people of Biafra.
