A gang of suspected assassins attack a convoy of vehicles accompanying Senator Ifeanyi Uba (YPP, Anambra) in his home state.

The convoy was reportedly ambushed right inside Nkwo Enugu-Ukwu market, yesterday Sunday 11 September 2022.

Reports said an unspecified number of civilians and his security aides were gunned down and died on the spot.

Eyewitnesses also reported that although the Senator’s car was riddled with bullets, he however managed to escape unhurt.

It was not immediately clear what motivated what appears to be a targeted attack on the Senator.

Anambra Police are yet to speak on the attack even as gory pictures of the dead and wounded are being widely shared on WhatsApp.
