The country’s Central Bank (CBN) says it has developed a framework to give grants and long-term facilities for the development of a Nigerian vaccine that will check Coronavirus.

Researchers, science institutions and biotechnology firms, are targets of the grants, the organisation said.

CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, took to Twitter last week to challenge Nigerian Scientists across the world. He asked them to take advantage of the opportunity to develop a vaccine that will check the Coronavirus.

“CBN will support development of vaccine once validated by the Health Authorities,” he said.
