For the second day running, no case of Covid-19 was reported in the South East region as the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control released its 5 May 2020 report an hour ago.
The report also shows that Nigeria recorded one of its best days as 64 persons fully recovered and were discharged to rejoin their families, the highest number of recoveries in one day since the beginning of the Month.
Five persons unfortunately succumbed to the ailment.
The NCDC wrote on its Twitter page that 148 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed from tests done in 17 states.
The States are Lagos (43) which continues to lead in infections but is now followed closely by Kano (32).
At 14 cases, Zamfara overtook FCT (10), which is followed by Katsina (9), Taraba (7), Borno and Ogun (6), and Oyo (5).
States that recorded under five cases include Edo, Kaduna, and Bauchi (3), Adamawa and Gombe (2) and Plateau, Sokoto and Kebbi (1).
