Nigeria records nearly 20 percent recovery rate


Nearly a fifth of the total cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria have made full recovery and have been discharged from the isolation centres where they were kept.

In Nigeria, confirmed cases of Covid-19 virus infections continue to steadily increase with 22 more cases discovered today, 8 April, bringing the total to 276 cases according to the latest figures released by the NCDC.

The discoveries occurred in states where the virus has already made a landfall, including Lagos (15), FCT (4), Bauchi (2) and Edo (1).

Of the 276 cases reported so far, there are 226 active cases, as 44 have been discharged and six succumbed to the virus.

Nearly a fifth of the total cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria have made full recovery and have been discharged from the isolation centres where they were kept.

This is way above the African and world averages which are less than 10 percent.
