NERC sets up power supply monitoring units in states


Electricity consumers in the South East now have a direct line to complain to the power sector regulator about prolonged power outages for investigation and redress.

The regulator, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) said in an advertisement that it has set up a “NESI Situation Room” to monitor power supply to consumers and ensure adequate supply.

Independent telephone lines were established for each of the 11 distribution companies with headquarters in Abuja, Benin, Eko, Enugu, Ibadan, Ikeja, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Port Harcourt, and Yola.

The number to call for Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) is 08039221710.
