The Onitsha avant-garde preacher, Pastor Chukwuemeka Ohanemere, aka Odumeje, has warned those criticising his miracle-performing ways to desist forthwith or be ready to “die recklessly.”
In a regular church service video, the self-styled prophet is heard saying tht he has had enough of people talking about spiritual matters they do not understand.
He wondered how anyone could develop the courage to query him.
“Who born you? Where do you come from? What do you know about spiritual?” he raged.
And then he added something scary, perhaps for effect: “Have you been to the land of the spirits? You talk when a dead man (is) talking!”
As if this was not enough, he repeated the threat.
“Who born you? You that comment on my miracles, you no dey fear? You will die recklessly!”
Odumeje’s growing popularity has waned a little after his recent trip to Jakarta which was alleged to have instigated the authorities to round up and deport Nigerian illegal immigrants.
According to many social media audio broadcasts by embittered economic migrants in Indonesia, security agents that infiltrated the venue of Odumeje’s crusade were surprised not only by the large turnout of immigrants but also by the reckless abandon with which they showered the Onitsha prophet with money in the course of the evening.
Odumeje has, however, been seen doing great works of charity of late, such as visiting Ochanja Market to share N4million among traders who lost their goods in a recent inferno from a petrol tanker fire.
