Ebonyi State youths constitute majority of hoodlums arrested for extensive damage in Enugu State, according to Enugu State Police Command.
Police said the hoodlums infiltrated a a peaceful #EndSARS movement protests to inflict heavy damage to life and property in Enugu.
The youths are to be charged for crimes ranging from murder to destruction of police stations and public property.
State Police Commissioner, Ahmad Abdur-Rahman, has publicly named and paraded 23 suspects arrested for the crimes, of which 17 are from Ebonyi State.
Three of the suspects are from Enugu State, while one each come from Anambra and Cross River States.
The state of origins of the youths strengthen the Commissioner’s argument that they are hoodlums that infiltrated and hijacked a peaceful #EndSARS protest to foment violence and destruction.
The youths whose ages range from 18 to 35 years as paraded by the State Police Commissioner include the following:
