Enugu State rolls out the drums as it celebrates 2023 World Tourism Day on 27 September, according to an official.
Tourism and Culture Commissioner, Dame Ugichi Madueke, used the opportunity of a meeting with tourism stakeholders to disclose the plans.
This year’s celebration will be done in grand style, she said. Activities queued to make the 2023 celebration a memorable one, include a road show, visitation to the less privileged, beauty pageant, friendly football match among hotels and award presentation.
Venue is the Okpara Square.
The UN World Tourism Organisation defines tourism as the movement of people to countries or places outside their usual environment. The travels may be for personal, business and professional purposes.
