The Enugu State Government has directed all public places to immediately observe the highest level of personal hygiene to fight the spread of coronavirus.

A statement from the State Ministry of Health singled out the following public places for action: banks, markets, supermarkets, shopping malls, hotels, pharmacy shops, eateries, among others.

They were told, among other things to implement the use of sanitizers and hand washing materials.

The statement, signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi, said the directive is in view of the global health emergencies around the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Agujiobi, who is coordinating the Enugu Task Force on the Coronavirus threat, asked residents of the state to call the following numbers in case any need for health assistance – 08182555550 or 09022333838.
