The Enugu State Govt builds ICT Skills Acquisition centres in two locations in the state for skills acquisition by youths.

Ministry of Science and Technology said in a statement that Enugu City and Obollo-Afor will host the centres.

“Construction as well as total renovation of the facilities at the Tech Hub Centers has reached advanced stage,” it said.

According to the Ministry, people will use the centres for “computer training, solar skill acquisition, computer coding, and website designs.”

Other services listed include “graphic designs, confectionaries, and hands-on technical skills training.”

“The Centres will be equipped with computer sets, solar power source, 1000kVA generator, internet access, training tools, and consumables.”

The announcement did not indicate the cost of constructing the two centres nor who are the contractors.
