Ezeodu Umeano Ugwor-Okoye of Amono in Uvuru Town, Uzo-Uwani LGA of Enugu State, transited on 13 April, 2023 at a ripe old age of 90. Her children will celebrate her life in a final farewell ceremony beginning from 2 June 2023 at her village, Amono and ending with a funeral mass on 3 June at St Matthew Catholic Parish, Uvuru, before interment.

Her children include Hon. Paulinus Agu Okoye (son), Chief Peter Anija Okoye, FCA, Onwa, Uvuru-Agada (son), Mrs Vero Egwuatu, (daughter), Mr Donatus Nwabueze Ugwor (son), and Mrs Uju Anwa. She also left behind grand and great grandchildren.
