Geometric is not on fire, officials say

The Geometric Power Plant in Abia State Nigeria is not on fire, an official told Enugu Metro a while ago.

“There is absolutely no truth to this rumour,” he said.

The social media began trending this morning about potential arson at the plant, commissioned on Monday by Vice President Kassim Shettima.

Officials later took to the social media to describe the speculation as “malicious falsehood.”
