All seven cases of Covid-19 reported in Imo State have recovered and been discharged, according to figures released minutes ago by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Three new cases from Ebonyi and one more from Enugu however continue to push up the numbers from the South East, now standing at 45.

Overall, NCDC confirmed 226 new cases and one death in Nigeria yesterday, 19 May 2020.

These cases were reported by 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory while two states – Cross River and Kogi – are yet to record any incidences of the disease.

Yesterday’s 226 new cases were reported from 16 states including Lagos (131), Ogun (25), Plateau (15), Edo (11), Kaduna (7), Oyo (6), FCT (5), and Adamawa (5).

Other states where new cases were confirmed are Jigawa (4), Ebonyi (4), Borno (4), Nasarawa (3), Bauchi (2), Gombe (2), Enugu (1), and Bayelsa (1)

NCDC said that Nigeria now has 6,401 cases, with 1,734 discharged cases and 192 deaths from the virus.
