IPOB kicks against plan by Anambra State to institute Saturday schooling for pupils and students from November 2021.

Anambra adopted Saturday schooling to replace Mondays for which southeast residents are forced indoors by IPOB.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, today objected to the plan because this will desecrate the holy day of Sabbath.

“We wish to call the Anambra state Government to order on the call to work on a holy day …”

An unsigned release by the group quoted the Nigerian Constitution and the Holy Bible outlaw working on Saturdays.

“Therefore we will not condone official work on a Sabbath day. It is a holy day for Chukwuokike Abiama.”

The group mocked the government for its powerlessness.

“We know you are in pain for the Monday sit-at-home order but you have no option than to facilitate the freedom of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu From DSS detention.

“The earlier you do this the better for you. We are also in pain.”

Again, the organisation threatened the region with violence.

“Don’t push us to commit evil on a holy day. Keep it holy for us. Be warned!”. The also warned teachers on the dangers of coming to teac on a Saturday.

Teachers take note, Do not allow your selves to be used against the will of Chukwuokike Abiama.
