Enugu Rangers International FC last night played 10 men against a full Kwara United force at the Ilorin Township Sports Complex and gallantly lost by a lone goal.

The Kwara team recently gained access back into the Nigerian Professional Football League by acquiring the slot of Delta Force football Club of Delta State.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 1st minute of play following a corner kick pulled by Afolabi Abdulwaheed and converted by Christopher Nwanze.

That lone goal gave the host the desired 3 points after which all the players went into the defensive.

Rangers played very well to the admiration of Kwara fans. The team created a lot of goal scoring chances but couldn’t get any shot past United’s goalkeeper, Abdullateef Isola.

Since 2011, Rangers has played 12 matches with Kwara, won 6, lost 4 and drew 2.
