The Grand Finale for 2022 Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF) competition holds Saturday 29 October 2022, organizers said.

The theme of this year’s exhibition and awards is Paradox of Muted Echoes

The closing event features works of art from young people across the country, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, digital media and many more.

Over 200 artists participated in this year’s event, said Kevin Ejiofor, LIMCAF Executive Director.

Established in 2007, Life In My City Art Festival celebrates creativity of young talents in the Nigerian art landscape.

LIMCAF became a Trusteeship in 2012 under the name Life In My City Art Initiative.

The Grand Finale is also a three part event that features the visual arts competition, a pan-African photo contest, school children and art teachers workshops, multimedia workshops, and the Award Night and Gala.

Organizers say It is “arguably the biggest art event in Nigeria” being the largest gathering of young artists, patrons, scholars, gallery owners and other stakeholders in the visual arts in Nigeria.”

Winners at the LIMCAF 2022 grand finale walk away with over N3million in prizes.
