Kidnappers of two Nollywood actors at an Enugu location demand $100,000 (about N70 million) ransom from family members.

The duo – Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel aka Agbogidi – were abducted at a shooting location in Enugu.

Enugu Police said they found Cynthia’s car abandoned at Four Corners along Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.

President of Actors Guild, Emeka Rollas, said the bandits demanded a lump sum payment in dollars.

“The kidnappers have made contact with the families and are demanding the sum of $100,000.

“We pray to God for his intervention and for Him to put confusion in their midst.

“We are also working closely with the different security operatives. But we are not sure what to expect from them because the same thing is happening everywhere in the country.”

Family sources said the actors went on location to Ozalla, Nkanu West on Wednesday 27 July but didn’t return.

Enugu Police Command spokesperson, DSP Ndukwe said they received a missing person report for one person.

Police stepped up investigation after retrieving Ms Oketeke’s car, he said.
