Gov Peter Obi discusses policy and economics at Columbia University with a policy group and black law students on 4 September.

Tagged “A Conversation with Peter Obi,” the projected 4-hour meeting begins by noon, according to a weekend announcement.

The Columbia’s Africa Business Club (ABC) and Black Law Students Association (BLSA) announced that Obi has agreed to the meeting.
.
The encounter, they said, promises to be “a riveting conversation on Afro Economics and Government Policy.”

“BBC News describes Mr. Obi as the ‘cadidate electrifying young Nigerians’ and a ‘powerful force ahead of Nigeria’s presidential election next February.'”

Accordingly, Obi energises voters “with messages of prudence and accountability that are amplified by an army of social media users”

The event flyer describes Obi as “a successful businessman, former two-term govenor, and previous chairman of Nigeria’s Fidelity Bank PLC.

“ABC and BLSA will sit down with Mr. Obi to discuss his thoughts on economic development and government policy. “

They will also listen to his “views on galvanizing the African diaspora for positive change on the continent.”

The organizers however said the event venue will be exposed only to those who pre-registered to attend.
