General Manager, Prince Davidson Owumi, on Tuesday 18 February 2020, led members of the Rangers Management Corporation on a condolence visit to Uwani, Enugu to condole with family members of late Felix Ogbuke, retired administrative secretary of the club from 1999 to 2008.

Ogbuke died after a protracted ailment that was diagnosed in 2015.

Consoling the wife of the diseased in the presence of the children and neighbors in their Uwani – Enugu residence, Rangers Administrative Secretary who led the delegation recounted the efforts and love late Ogbuke had always shown to Rangers and her activities. He thereafter signed the condolence register on behalf of the Board and urged the family to “have faith in God and remain united as one.”

He assured them of Rangers’ participation in the burial process.

Ogbuke’s wife, Lady Philomina, pleaded with Rangers family and lovers of sports community, where his late husband worked for 35 years and retired, not to abandon the family now that the husband is no more.

Late Ogbuke, popularly nicknamed “Fela”, retired as a staff of Enugu Sports Commission.

His son, Onyedike Felix Ogbuke Jnr. is a Nigerian International who currently plays for Rangers and has also represented Nigeria in continental competitions.

Ogbuke Jnr. who was on hand to receive the delegation, said he appreciated the visit and pledged to work with the Corporation to ensure that a befitting burial is accorded to his father, the late football administrator.

Some players who were not in line up for Wednesday’s match encounter with Kano Pillars, led by Okey Odita, were also on the entourage.
