WHO do you need to help?

Only superwomen and men can successfully organize an event all by themselves – and there are so very few of them these days, believe me. So you need help. In Nigerian wedding situations, for instance, boys constitute themselves into a help team called “Committee of Friends” to help their buddy plan the wedding. The groom may have contracted a wedding planner, but it doesn’t matter; there are many things that boys and girls like to do by themselves, such as bridal showers and bachelor parties! Wedding planners, and event planners in general however constitute a team to take care of big picture tasks – venue, invitation to “high table personalities (aka VIPs),” vendors, entertainers, finance, MC/compere/rapporteurs, and so forth. The organizer is assured that every detail is taken care of, once the team is in place and roles are assigned.
