Enugu State Government seeks to move closer to industry players to deliver better incentives to them, says the State Investment Agency.

The Enugu State government is seeking to move to a closer relationship with businesses and industries in the State in order to understand how best to enable them move the economy of the state faster forward, an agency has said.

Enugu State Investments Development Authority, in a release signed by its General Manager, Chief Chibuzor Okafor, said yesterday that it is now compiling a list of key players in various sectors to see how government can be of assistance to them.

The goal, he said is to promote greater industrialization and create more jobs with a new government policy of “attention, incentives, and closeness.”

The sectors being targeted include all investment sectors and value chain in industries and manufacturing, including agriculture and allied services, manufacturing, processing, pharmaceuticals and medicals, cosmetics, beverages, drinks and so forth.

Chief Okafor therefore asked owner managers of these enterprises to submit a profile to his Agency, including their contact persons and their phone numbers.

He also released a number (0803 339-2229) to contact for further information on the new policy.
