From Saturday’s UNN triumph, Poet James Eze returns Monday to Awka, the Smith City, to another social gathering for his new book.

Date: Monday, 24 July 2023
Time: 5p.m. (Cocktails); 6 p.m.  (Readings).

His hosts will be the Anambra Metropolitan Club, an Awka-based members only club.

Venue for the reading, facilitated by Awka Litetary Society, is the Clubhouse, located at The Penthouse, Mr. Smith Hotel and Event Centre.

Mr. Smith is along the Enugu- Onitsha Express Way, in Awka, Anambra State.

Organizers headlined the event as “James Eze Returns to Awka with Goosebumps.”

The multi-talented poet lived in Awka for eight years (from 2015), serving as a communication strategist to the immediate past State Governor.

He left in May 2023 when a new Governor took over at Agu Awka, the seat of power.

The Smith City event will be a reunion with the great friends he made in the Anambra capital city during his eventful stay.

Incidentally, the Enugu-born poet is a co-founder of the Awka Literary Society.
