Ifeanyi Ubah applies to visit Kanu in DSS custody

Anambra’s All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate, Sen. Ifeanyi Uba, applies to visit Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader in custody.

Sen. Uba came to the Federal High court Abuja yesterday, 18 October 2021, to file the application.

He subsequently filed a motion on notice asking the Court to gran him permission to visit Kanu in DSS custody.

He was however accompanied by Mr. Maxwell Opara, one of attorneys from the Kanu legal team.

Uba, a strong candidate in the election, did not disclose why he wanted a meeting with the captured separatist leader.

Nevertheless, Mr. Opara told newsmen that Nigeria has added an extra charge to the offences for which Kanu is being prosecuted.

Opara did not however disclose the nature of the additional charge which now brings the number of charges to seven.

Uba’s campaign ran into stormy waters with the social media circulating informatiom that Uba was working against the release of the new Biafran leader.
