The NCDC said in an update a while ago today 9 April 2020 that 14 new cases of Covid-19 infections have been confirmed across the country, 13 of them from Lagos and the remaining case from Delta State.
In addition, Nigeria has recorded another death from Coronavirus, bringing number of patients who have so far succumbed to the virus attack in the country to seven.
The good news, however, is that the rate of recoveries keeps improving. Seven more persons were discharged across the country today, bringing the total of fully recovered and discharged persons to 51, which represents a 18% recovery rate for the 288 cases reported so far.
The latest figures also show that only 2 percent of reported cases have died.
NCDC has also reviewed yesterday’s result and removed the two reports of infections from Bauchi because they were not new cases.
We erroneously reported new cases in Bauchi, the agency said in a tweet, only to find out from a review that these were “repeat tests for previously confirmed cases.”
