Gov Peter Mbah inaugurates 16-member joint committee on sharing of state and local government revenue allocation from the federation account.
He charged the members to assist in delivering the promises he made to citizens of Enugu during his campaigns.
Mbah tapped Comrade Tony Udeh, retired permanent secretary and foremost labour leader in Enugu, to head the Joint Accounts Allocation Committee (JAAC).
At the brief ceremony that took place in the Executive Committee Chambers of Lion Building, Mbah said the committee members were carefully chosen.
The 16 members, he said, were selected based on “merit and stellar record.”
“We have unflinching confidence that they will deliver on the promises we made to the good people of Enugu State,” he tweeted shortly afterwards.
The chairman, Comrade Udeh, promised on behalf of the Committee to meet the expectations of the stakeholders for the sake of development of the State.
