Africa reaches 10,000 Covid-19 cases


The continent reached and surpassed the 10,000 infections mark today according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) which put the figure confirmed today at 10,420 with 517 deaths.

Four African countries have reached and surpassed 1,000 infections, including South Africa (1,749), Algeria (1,468), Egypt (1,322) and Morocco (1,141)

Nigeria is recorded as one of the countries with most recoveries in the continent. More people have recovered in Algeria (237, 28.6%),  Burkina Faso (134, 16.2%), South Africa (95, 11.5%), Cameroon (60, 7.25%), and Nigeria in fifth place at 44 (5.3%)
